...the images that I see are hugged by darkness from all sides.

Hello, everyone!  ' ¬ '
It's been half a year since I've been active on here.  Gee willikers!
I feel bad for not doing stuff for so long...
Hopefully I can make it up with what I submit this summer.  c:
I hope everyone is doing well.  ^ u ^

And now for something that is hopefully interesting...

I dream in tunnel vision.
From the earliest dream that I can remember (when I was at least
7 years old, I think), that's how my dreams are presented to me.
I've asked other people what "style" their dreams are, or how colorful their
dreams are, and most of the time the answer I get is that it just looks like
what real life looks like.  Realistic colors and no black "frame".

So what gives?  All these other people get wide screen, HD dreams
and I get stuck with tunnel vision ones.  = A =  The dreams I have are
still cool, it just isn't as cool as it could be.  I think.  My peripheral vision
is completely shut down while dreaming, so there is this dark
boarder/frame around what I see.

What is the reason for this?  If there is a reason?

Could it be because I have impaired vision?  Maybe.
But, I didn't need glasses until I was 13 years of age.
And my peripheral vision works fine, it's just a little blurry.
Chuck that for now.

Is it because of some fear I have?  Maybe.
The darkness surrounding my vision could represent a fear.
It could specifically be my fear of losing my eyesight.  Seeing is really
important to me because I love to make visual art and I just like to see.
Period.  And people who's eyes are diseased often end up with tunnel
vision at some point.  Could be this, though I don't remember fearing
this when I was young... I also haven't had nightmares in forever;
I'm not afraid in my dreams.  Hmm...

Or maybe it's because I'm viewing the scenes in my dreams through
the lens of a camera?  I'm hardly ever "in myself" while dreaming.
In other words, I'm seeing myself from a third-person point of view.
I'm outside my body, but I still feel and know that it's me.  And when you
look through a camera, you lose your peripheral vision...like when you put
a toilet paper roll up to your eye and use it as a telescope
(and don't tell me you've never done that before = w = ).
This seems...logical...but...

Argh, my tunnel vision way of dreaming could mean nothing,
except that I'm just plain unlucky.  > _ <

What are your dreams like?
What "style" are they in or how are they presented to you?
Have you had a really cool dream you can't forget?

It's nearly 2 am...
I'm going to bed.  = - =

Look who's back!

Tunnel dreams?
Hm. The hazy dark boarder is somewhat of a cliché for dream sequences in visual media, perhaps it comes from some subconscious mental... filter... type... thing...

And I think most people enjoy being able to see things. It's definitely on my top ten. Anyway, I'm off to bed to enjoy my superior HD 3D widescreen dreaming experience. Yeah.
